Champion Our Therapy Herd

Horses are the heart of our program at Pony Pals Therapeutic Riding Association. They are the strong backs carrying our riders toward their physical milestones, the listening ears helping participants build communication and social confidence, and the warm, gentle presence that reduces anxiety and promotes mindfulness. PPTRA exists as an inclusive sanctuary in Delta, BC, that revolves around these incredible animals. Without our four-legged partners, our life-changing work wouldn't be possible.

Our hardworking therapy horses require dedicated care and attention to thrive. To keep them in peak physical and emotional health, we carefully manage their nutrition, veterinary care, farrier work, exercise, and pasture quarters. It takes roughly $4,000 to $6,000 per year, per pony for basic feed, specialized supplements, farrier trims, and ongoing health care.

Sponsorship helps cover these essential, ongoing costs so we can keep our non-waitlisted programs accessible to families across Greater Vancouver. Horse sponsorship is flexible and can take many forms:

• An Individual Sponsor: Dedicate a gift to your favourite therapy pony.
• A Group Sponsorship: Pool together with friends, family, a coffee group, or co-workers.
• A Partial Sponsorship: Give any amount toward feed, vet, or hoof care. Every bit makes a meaningful difference!
