Our Pediatric Occupational Therapy (OT) program combines evidence-based clinical therapy with the natural, sensory-rich environment of our farm sanctuary.

Guided by Registered Occupational Therapists (OTs) and certified equine professionals, sessions utilize equine movement (hippotherapy), farm animal care, and nature play to help children and youth achieve meaningful everyday goals.

• Sensory Regulation Processing tactile, movement (vestibular), and body position (proprioceptive) inputs in a calm, outdoor setting.
• Gross & Fine Motor Skills Core stability, balance, coordination, posture, grooming dexterity, and hand strength.
• Social-Emotional & Executive Function Task planning, self-awareness, emotional regulation, frustration tolerance, and peer interaction.
• Independence & Life Skills Animal caretaking routines, safety awareness, self-advocacy, and daily living tasks.

Clinical Note: Hippotherapy refers to how an Occupational Therapist uses the purposeful, rhythmic movement of a horse as a therapy tool. The multi-dimensional movement of the horse's gait mimics human walking, giving the child's body continuous physical and neurological feedback to improve balance, muscle tone, and core alignment.
